Are the rooms ensuite? Do the rooms have there own bathrooms?
No, the bathrooms are located in the hallway and are in common use.
Do you have a sauna?
No, sorry, we don't have a sauna.
Are the guests allowed to bring animals (cats, dogs) to the B&B?
Animals are allowed as long as they do not disturb the other guest, for example by barking all night long. The Red room and the Radio chamber is suitable for guests with animals.
I am allergic of animals; can I stay at your B&B?
That depends on how serious the allergy is. Animals are not allowed in The Little chamber or in the Green room but are allowed in the rest of the house.
I am lacto-intolerant /have a gluten-free diet, is there something I can eat in the breakfast?
The porridge is not made with milk and we only serve lactose-free milk. The porridge is not gluten-free but if you inform us in advance we can serve gluten-free bread.
I am a vegan, is there something in the breakfast that I can eat?
The porridge and the bread are alright, as well as the coffee, tee, juice, sugar, cucumber, tomato and jam. Just skip the honey, ham and cheese.
What time is the check-in?
You can check in after 3pm. If you are to arrive before that I can hand you the keys to your room and to the house and show you where you can store the luggage. The check-in ends at 8pm, but if you have to arrive later than that it is not a problem. In all cases it would be very nice if you were to call me in advance and tell me at what time you will arrive. I live next-door and do not always see when the guests arrive.
Is it possible to cook something in the B&B?
There is a fridge, a microwave oven and a coffee machine on the second floor that the guests can use freely.
Are there any good restaurants in Karis?
Of course! A low-cost alternative is the classic Pizza-Kebab restaurant Pizzeria Darin. If you are looking for someplace to take a light meal or a snack I can recommend Café Serendipity, a cosy place with a lot of atmosphere. Then there is also Restaurant Brasseriet, a restaurant with good food and low prices. Here you also can find typical Finnish food.
